LOBBYING

Lobbying is a process of schmoozing with the good folks at the government. It is not a science but involves gaining friends and allies for the purpose of furthering each others cause. It can involve going to political fundraisers or meeting with public employees. The difficult part of being a motorcycle sport is dealing with the long standing negative perception of “bikers”. The job of the lobbyist is to convince the government our recreational activity is a good activity for health and well being, will leave a minimal environmental footprint and distribute tourism dollars throughout the province from rich urban centres to poor rural areas.
