NEED TO KNOW – ON THE TRAILS BASICS

Proof of Purchase

There are 2 ways to provide proof of purchase for your OFTR trail pass when out on the trails.

  1. Show your digital trail pass.
  2. Show valid current year OFTR sticker.

Each township may accept a different combination of the above, therefore we recommend that you always ride with all 2.

Sticker placement.

The season pass decal should be displayed on either:

  • The upper left fork tube of your bike
  • The left chin bar of your helmet.

Licence Plate

You must have either a green plate or blue plate on your bike when riding the trails. Please check which registration plate is acceptable to the trails you will be riding before you travel.

  • Green Plate. This is for off-road use only. This should be displayed on the front of your bike.
  • Blue Plate. This is for dual purpose bikes (on road and off-road). This should be displayed on the back of your bike (the same position an on road motorcycle registration plate would go).

Insurance

You must have insurance to ride the OFTR trails. You ride with proof of insurance at all time in case you are asked to produce this.

ORVA (Off Road Vehicle Act)

Riders must at all times abide by the Off-Road Vehicle Act (ORVA)The Off-Road Vehicle Act (4.2, 4.2b) requires that children under the age of 12 are only permitted to ride on trails under close supervision of an adult. Ride in control and observe a 50kmph speed limit unless otherwise posted or applicable under the law.

Amazing! Have yet to try it in the trails, but well organised and extremely user friendly so far.

Now this is an awesome app. I love it for dirt biking and knowing where you are on the paths, recording your trail, takes riding to a new level. Well done.
